The Requirement
For this contemporary luxury development in Gloucestershire, the developer required an interiors partner who could do more than simply specify and supply individual rooms.
The ambition was to create a home in which the architecture and interiors felt completely connected — with the kitchen, utility, bathrooms, ensuites and bedrooms designed as an integral part of the property rather than considered in isolation once construction was underway.
Dajon Interiors was brought into the project before ground was broken, giving us the opportunity to work alongside the architects and construction team from the outset.
This early involvement allowed us to review the proposed spaces, understand how they would be used day to day, and contribute to decisions that would influence the eventual flow, functionality and overall quality of the finished home.
The developer needed an interiors partner capable of understanding the architectural vision, coordinating multiple functional spaces, and bringing together a carefully selected range of premium manufacturers and products within one cohesive interior specification.
Our Solution
Working collaboratively with the architect and construction team, we developed the interior design of the home's key functional spaces, including the kitchen, utility room, bathrooms, ensuites and bedrooms.
Because we were involved during the planning stage, we were able to look beyond cabinetry, finishes and individual room layouts. We could consider the relationship between the spaces themselves — circulation, sightlines, storage, positioning of services and how each area would connect with the architecture and the way the property would ultimately be lived in.
This allowed important decisions to be made before construction dictated the solution, rather than trying to adapt the interiors around decisions that had already been built.
At the heart of the home, the kitchen was designed around Schüller next125, combining refined contemporary cabinetry with the architectural proportions and natural material palette of the property. The specification was complemented by premium Miele and BORA appliances, allowing performance and functionality to sit seamlessly within the minimalist design.
Across the bathrooms and ensuites, we incorporated carefully considered products from manufacturers including Geberit, balancing clean contemporary aesthetics with the quality, reliability and technical performance expected within a luxury development.
By bringing these elements together through one design team, we were able to maintain a consistent design language throughout the property while also coordinating the practical requirements of each space with the wider construction programme.
For the developer, this meant fewer disconnected suppliers and design decisions, greater clarity during the build, and a specialist interiors partner able to coordinate the details from initial concept through to final specification.
The result is a home where the kitchen, utility, bathrooms, ensuites and bedrooms feel intrinsically connected to the architecture — spaces designed not simply to look impressive, but to flow naturally, function beautifully and enhance the way the property is lived in.
